Let me tell you a story…

I grew up in a terrible environment where I wasn’t allowed to be myself.
My personality, sexuality, fears had to be hidden. All I had to do was ‘look beautiful’ and ‘look a certain way’, because that’s what was important to my family.

This led to years of repressed emotions, eating disorders, and very bad anxiety.

I was made redundant, have no money in my savings, and I’m planning to leave a country. And yet, stress is not eating me up. Because I have learned how to manage it.

How I did it…

1. I decluttered my environment. Relationships, bad food, useless objects, stopped watching certain TV shows, and unfollowed accounts on IG. It was lonely for a bit, until it started to feel freeing.

2. I learned neuroscience backed practices to release anxiety. No medications anymore, only holistic and somatic experiences.

3. I started working with a really good therapist.

4. I started eating ‘the rainbow’ and learned how to avoid emotional eating and self-sabotage

5. I found physical movement that I loved. Yoga, calisthenics, pole dance, aerial hoop and now I can’t stop moving my body.

6. I worked on my limiting beliefs and mental fitness to become more confident, resilience, and have more energy.
